A lap swimmer finishes the “pull” section of the stroke
I get lost in the endless detail of swirling water. When I’m swimming, all else disappears when my face submerges and I’ve started the swim. When I’m painting I have a similar experience. As I sink into the detail I become hyper focosed on the task at hand.
